Fundraising Agreement Template

A fundraising agreement is perfect for any non-profit organization or charity looking to raise funds for their cause. This Agreement outlines the responsibilities of both parties involved in a fundraising campaign and ensures that all parties are held accountable for any expectations laid out. The PandaDoc Fundraising Agreement Template makes it simple to establish rules and expectations for both parties and eliminate any potential misunderstandings.

This Fundraising Agreement (the "Agreement") is entered into as of [Document.CreatedDate] (the "Effective Date") by and between (the "Organization") and [Volunteer.FirstName] [Volunteer.LastName] (the "Volunteer"), referred to herein collectively as the "Parties."

1. Purpose of the Agreement

Outlining the expectations and responsibilities of both parties concerning a fundraising campaign is a great idea to ensure both parties understand the relationship and eliminate any potential misunderstandings.

1.1 This Agreement is established to set forth the terms and conditions governing the relationship between the Organization and the Volunteer concerning their fundraising efforts on behalf of the Organization.

2. Entire Agreement

2.1 This Agreement constitutes the Agreement between the Parties regarding the subject matter herein and supersedes any prior or contemporaneous oral or written agreements.

3. Scope of work

If there is anything that shouldn’t be left up in the air, it’s what tasks the Volunteer will be doing and what their responsibilities are. Outline exactly what tasks the Volunteer will be responsible for to ensure everyone is on the same page.

3.1 Developing or revising existing fundraising strategies and plans.

3.2 Identifying potential donor organizations, individuals, or other sources of funding.

3.3 Preparing fundraising materials, including letters, emails, web-based presentations, brochures, flyers, etc.

3.4 Contacting potential donors to solicit support for the Organization's programs.

3.5 Assisting with organizing and executing fundraising events.

3.6 Representing the Organization in its fundraising activities and working with other volunteers, staff and board members to ensure successful outcomes.

3.7 Keeping accurate records of all activities undertaken.

4. Compensation

Most volunteers don’t expect to be paid for their services, but it’s always nice when an organization appreciates them. If you’d like to offer Volunteers some compensation, include it in the compensation clause.

4.1 The Volunteer will not be compensated for any services provided under this Agreement with anything other than the satisfaction of participating in supporting a worthwhile cause.

4.2 The Organization may, in its sole discretion, reimburse the Volunteer for any reasonable and necessary expenses incurred while delivering services under this Agreement.

5. Miscellaneous

If there’s anything that you’d like to include in the Agreement but doesn’t fit into one of the existing clauses, add a Miscellaneous clause. It will allow you to have rules, regulations, or expectations worth mentioning.
